Well my real name's Mitch! I'm from Ireland! I like cheese lol! erm...I'm a sailing instructor (part time i'm still at school) and wanna be a musician or maybe a physicist who knows!! i've always had a longing for something out of the ordinary so when i was little i made up all these gods and goddesses and then about a year ago i was just learning about paganism and i found asatru and it turns out all my made up gods were almost exactly the same haha! and thats my life story lol!! what about you?

yupp. i have the same exact problem. i wish i could be open about my practices to my friends, but i know they wouldn't understand. i've only told one of my friends, and i really am lucky to have someone like her as a friend, because she's so accepting. most of my "friends" would rather abandon their real personalities and make up new, fake ones to fit the mold people want them in.

I don't have this problem at all. I live in a thickly German Cathlolic area, too, and many are starting to go to the Evangelical church down the road. I have been open with them from the start and they accept me, because they are real friends. Only one has actually told me that I needed to be "saved" (whatever that means), but she isn't my friend anymore, she couldn't accept me. As for my more Catholic friends, it doesn't really bother them at ll and they actually are kind of inquisitive.
