Does anyone know how that would work? I'm kind of hoping the my subconcious knows me better than my concious because I'm trying to find some direction and I'm hoping something like this could help me. Any advice?

I have try dream divination and have found that you need to find your own meaning for the things within your dreams. Post your dreams and I may be able to help.

I agree with you, levi! I think that dreams are from our own subconsicous and the symbols are far too personal for someone to interpret them for you. Your psyche, your ego and your soul are at work and only you can know what it all means. Your sacred cow may not be my sacred cow...
I have found that the exercise of revisiting a dream through meditation can be a powerful tool for discerning the meanings and symbols found there.

I for a long time was unable to understand my dreams. An old friend from another forum was able to interpret dreams and I was slightly spooked at how much she was able to tell me about myslef and some really personal things from me just telling her my dreams.

Well, then I stand corrected, Marcs... to a point. I still think that dream interpretation is a personal endeavor. To allow someone else to speak for the symbols and meanings might be to also lose some of their depth and your own insight might be swayed by the opinions of another as well.
In a way, perhaps it is like readings someone else's Tarot or Ogham. We see the symbols and interpret the general meanings but it is for the individual to decide how they fit into their journey?

I think it is a two way thing when someone else is interpreting your cards or your dreams. I have a very good friend who reads gypsy cards and it is me who interprets them...but the accuracy of the cards that appear is outstanding. My granny died quite recently and I had my friend read my angel cards. I was thinking of my granny when the cards were being shuffled and then when i picked out the first card it said on it "Hello from Heaven." I think there where about 100 cards in that deck and that was the only card like that.

Wow! That's incredible, Marcus! And, yes, I agree, the ultimate interpretation is up to the dreamer but another can help act as guide!

Yes the way you put it is what i was trying to say! You are the interpreter of the information that is presented to you by the guide. Then after awhile you start to see the meanings own your own and you are able to guide yourself.

Dream interpretation. Mmm. Something I am currently studying and getting quite good at too. Symbolism is important but so is the over all picture. And you also have to look at what different things mean to you and what is going on in your life. Some symbols are almost universal too.
An example of a dream I had the other night was that of a cluttered hotel bathroom in which I was trying to pick through all the beauty products and such that I had brought with me. Choosing only the neciessities and the things I truly cared for to take back home with me.
In a nut shell leaving out details this is what my dream was about.
Now if I stop and think about what is going on in my life it kinda resembles that cluttered bathroom. Full of chaos and unneeded things. And currently in my life I am doing alot of changing and "cleaning up" as it were. So if you look at the whole of the dream and not just the symbolism of a parfume bottle or bathroom, but the WHOLE picture you can see how it would relate to my life.
That is dream interpretation. Taking your dream and looking to see where in your life this dream is calling your attention to.
If anyone ever would like help let me know. I am extremely intrigued by dreams and often stumped but in working with my own dreams and helping others with theres helps me gain a better understanding.
