It's there new rule, but it's not going and the poor little man is getting fed up and so am i with all his crying. Let's face it theres only so much a mother can take and i'm just about there! Please can some one help, i've just discovered that wild cherry blossom is a good chough remedy but how would i make it up? There loads of it on the trees near me at the mo!

When Sojrn gets home I will have him write up his famous (or infamous) flu tea recipe! It may not help with the colds, but if it is flu this stuff will kick booty! It is a nose holder to get it down - tastes like someone's boiled gym socks, but it works!

This may sound stupid, but DON'T GET SICK!! I say that with no negative connotation. You just have to realize that the body's natural state is one of good health. Since I'm in college, it's kind of hard to eat right, but I take one of those centrum multi-vitamins in the morning and try to drink a "good-for-you" shake once a day (like something a person may drink when trying to either gain or lose weight). The shake/drink is packed full of nutrients. I usually drink it after dinner instead of having dessert.
If the body has everything it needs to properly function, then common ailments like colds don't affect you.

I have always been one of those people who pick up everything that is going around no matter how much I take care of myself. Karma, maybe. But the hubby is like you, very seldom gets sick.

being clean is also a big part of staying well. plus there is the immune system to think about. you wouldnt know this but, children dont have a strong immune system. they have to build it up. how they do this is being around other kids who pick their nose, scratch their butts, and dont wash hands. not to mention all the sneezing they do on one another. so this is how i get exposed to colds, and just dirty people in the general public.

When Sojrn gets home I will have him write up his famous (or infamous) flu tea recipe! And here it is: Use equal amounts of each herb except the Yarrow (half of equal amount). Mash each thoroughly in a mortar and pestle and mix well. Make enough to keep in an airtight container too pass around to your associates that may be "bedridden." Add a three finger pinch to 10 ounces of water in a pan, cover and bring to a slooowww boil. Let boil for one full minute, then turn off heat. Let cool for several minutes. Strain and (yech) drink. You may want to hold your nose for this one. Drink (bleeuuuuuach) one cup, (you may add honey, but I don't) every four hours for 24 hours. Yes that means dragging your sick sorry ass out of bed at all hours of the night...just remember it's for a good thing! You'll be out of the woods in 24 hours and back fully on your feet in 48 to 72. The "other" guy with his anti-biotics will be out a full week. (I've seen this personally.) Don't drink for more than 24 hours. It has worked for me in only 12. In acute cases I've increased the amount to a cup every three hours. Have fun, Sojrn Ingredients: 1. Juniper Berries 2. Pleurisy Root 3 Licorice Stick 4. Colts Foot 5. Yarrow 6. Eucalyptus Leaves 7. Chinese Ephedra 8. Sage 9. Penny Royal 10. Slippery Elm 11. Gotu Cola 12. Ginger Root

There loads of it on the trees near me at the mo! not sure how old he is so this may not work for him but i'll post it anyways in case anyone wants it. it's good for clearing the sinuses and helping with congestion. very simple to make. make a cup of hot tea (whatever you like, preferably something soothing and calming. take ground cayenne pepper and sprinkle a little into the tea add honey. mix together a sip slowly. this should help clear up any congestion. make sure not to get to much pepper or it'll irritate your throat. you want to be able to just taste a small hint of it using the honey to sweeten it.
