Star Date 02-20-07 This is the Tale of the Doughnuts...I asked my husband to pick up "some doughnuts." He goes to Crispy Creme, brings home the doughnuts. OK when in Hell did they start making 4 packs of doughnuts. I thought they only came in 6 and 12 packs. So now my husband wants to "share" my 4 lousy doughnuts. I know it's greedy but I wanted them for breakfast, over the next three days. You can guess what happened when I went to lie down...he ate a doughnut. So now my breakfast menu is off. I guess next time I'll specify 6 to 12 doughnuts.

Star Date 02-21-07 We've been having really nice weather, low to mid 70's. So the husband has been out puttering in the yard. Herein lies the problem. He moved the Patio furniture, and has a bunch of crap on it. He went off and left the water running, again. I go out to shut it off and see a pile of light grey fur. The fur belongs to my 17 year old cat. I don't see him lying dead so I hurry over to see if the gate is closed, it was. Then I went running to see if he's in the house or garage. That was my intention anyway. I completely forgot the junk filled Patio. About the time I realized it, I tripped over the first of two obstacles. My foot hooked under the rocking chair, I tried to fall, but ended up dragging the chair with my momentum. Then I fell on top of the table, which saved me from a nasty fall. But I've got a nasty scrape on my Ankle and a bruise. Tomorrow the Patio will be cleaned off. >^..^<

Star Date 02/22/07 Today was take the 17 yr. old cat to the vet day. Bear(my cat) was acting weird so I decided he should see our Vet, who was booked for 2 days. So I started calling found one that could see him this AM. Firstly this cat hates the carrier, car, and Vet. I usually tranq. him for the whole experience, not today because of the Trauma. The whole 15 ml. drive was, cat complaining, husband complaining, me complaining and traffic. Got in and they took him back to check him out. Nothing is apparently wrong, he's sore from fighting and stressed. Then the negotiations begin for the bill. It's worse then buying a car, they make an offer I counter that, I make an offer they check with the Vet, this takes longer then the check up. Finally we came to an understanding, we both could live with. We took him home gave him pain medicine he seems to be doing fine. I'm still traumatized from the whole experience...

Star Date 02-26-07 I can't believe I've been out for 4 days. I was afraid for awhile that the Asthma was going to win this round. It's the worst episode I've ever had, thank goodness for inhalers. If you've never had Asthma or known anyone with it, it's a bitch. I can feel my airway closing, then the wheezing starts. I'm lucky mine has never gotten to the stage where I pass out, that's when you die if you're alone. I wish I knew what my trigger was I'd take allergy shots for it. I'm better, Bear's better, back in the saddle again...

Star Date 02-28-07 Well lucky me Kitty, my Asthma is adult onset! I was pretty healthy as a kid, we only saw a DR. if we were about to die, it cost to much. I raised my kids the same way, since I didn't have health coverage on them when they were little. Luckily for my children I'm a nurse and knew real illness from BS. That's a sad comentary, eat or receive medical attention. This continues to be a problem for the working poor, to much money for government help and no insurance from your employer. It's no wonder people are still dying from diseases that are treatable.

Star Date 03-01-07 Well it's curtains for Pony Tail Boy!!! He came in this week end and acted so bad the other nurse walked out on him. So I guess he'll take his druken ass to some other facility to torture their staff and patients. This is his MO, he goes in and raises cane and then leaves. This is how he evades being censored by the nursing board. Oh and Happy March!>^..^<

Star Date 03-04-07 OMG, I just realized how fraggin' old I am and am going to be. I never thought about it in much detail because it inevitable. I was 19, 30 years ago! I'm ancient, I wish I'd have never wrapped my mind around this thing called age. There have been 9 presidents I can remember!!! My god a twelve year old is still in here somewhere, swinging on trees. I think this maybe a mid life crisis, I'm very upset. Well to hell with this.

Star Date 03-05-07 Today is no better couldn't get out of bed til 4pm. Just laid there, watching Iceman Chronicles, everytime I tried to sleep, I started awake. I have a sense of forboding, I don't know what's wrong but something is. I'm afraid to go to work for fear of what's going to happen. I feel terrible.....

Star Date 03-08-07 Well things have been strange....My husband has decided there is a demon in our house. Why because he found scratches on his leg, after 2 days of yard work. I told him he was the only demon in this house. Then I had to take Bear back to the vet, he wasn't himself. Yeah he did that all the way to the Vets. They couldn't find anything wrong with his ancient a**. So that cost me...I guess things are tough all over. >^..^<

Star Date 03-14-07 The rain has eased up, supposed to be warm and sunny tomorrow. My grand-daughter spent the day with her Papa. She loves him more then anyone! I felt the same way about my Papa too. He always had time for me, was never mean. I didn't have him for to long, he died when I was 10 yr. I still fondly remember our times we spent together, gardening, and woodworking. He was an amateur carpenter, he made things in his workshop, I wasn't allowed in there. It used to make me mad, I'd stand outside and sulk. He also had a huge wood pile I couldn't play in because of the "Rattlesnakes." I never saw a snake or heard of any being found. Guess he didn't want me to knock down the wood pile. I still miss my Papa!
