So we can tell stories here too. So how about we share how each of us stumbled upon our pagan faith. It might be kinda fun, or you can choose not to. ^.^ Just an idea. I'll god first.
I was never much of a church person. I went here and there to make my grandma happy, but never really like the ideals it taught me. I liked being my own person, not told what to do and what to believe. So I just sorta walked around without a faith for a while. Looking back on it I realize how much it sucked not to have something to fall back on.
But a few christmas' ago my mother and I went shopping for some books. And she was looking for a new series for me to read. I love to read and she knew that. So she handed me this little book. It was a pretty big series and when I read the back of it I was instantly interested. It was the "Sweep" series. I couldn't stop reading about it. While I knew it wasn't all true, it had some facts to it. So I started my search of wicca and paganism. Those books are what started me on my path. A very good series too. ^.^
Your turn.

I was about 12 or 13 when I discovered Wicca. Before that I was a Southern baptist, though I never really got much out of it. My brother came home from the Navy and had been studying for a while and told us (me and my best friend Mike) about it and I read some of his books, though I had to sneak them he never was much of a sharer. As time went on and I saved ALL my lunch money I began to accumulate knowledge of Faery Wicca and the ways of my Irish Celtic ancestry. My mom started finding my books and taking them away from me but it was to late. ;D Later I found the Druid path and have been there every since.

i was invited to play (violin)at a massive pagan gathering on mayday weekend a a few years back...u shoulda seenit, it was called celtic gods, celtic magick, and i was there coz the manager lady saw me at the markets and i play irish music, so it suited the theme sorta thing..but i loved it, there were a few hundred people up in the mountains camping with big fires and music, and entertainers and stuff, everyone was dressed up, capes and robes and hats and bells and stuff, and they were all so friendly (some quite a bit drunk, lol) but always friendly. my parents went along both nites and so they got to see what it was like, and they loved it, coz theyd never heard of paganism before!!! tho, neither had i.. i hada great time, and it got me hooked..i have always had a love for ireland for as long as i can remember, and im into the celtic beliefs and mythology, so im happy!!

I have ALWAYS liked the Wiccan way in a way. I was about 4-5 years old and always wanted to be a witch. I would play outside and I was the Salem witch. I also felt things, like something was going to happen and always felt i was been watched. In my late teens I started to read books about Wicca and Tarot cards. It just grew from there. My sister reads the same books but not into the coven thing. Im not either but its wierd with me I was bapitised in the Catholic Church(my fathers mom was true blue) but I would go to the Protestant church up the street from me. My moms famliy went there. I did like the protestant church MUCH better then the Catholic church. I have kind of mixed to two together. Its wierd but it works for me. I guess thats all thats matters.

MY boyfriend is the same way really into Celtic stuff. We have been told by more then one person that we are soul mates. He feels like he lived there (Scottland) in a past life. He was told this too. Plus I said the same thing when we first met.. WEIRD!!! but I guess not really .
