How do I stop the doubt? How do I turn my world right side up again Wren? How do I tell Charlie that I've betrayed his trust by breaking a Geis for a woman...A fate worse than death? How do I tell him it wasn't me? How do I make things right again? How do I bring the feeling back in my heart and mind? I wanna go back to the grove, but look what I've done.
I want my honor back.

Well, as I told you yesterday, first you must forgive yourself. You must say "I did this. It is my doing. I am worthy of forgiveness." Then, either mentally or physically, toss 'it' into the fire. Let it go with the smoke.
Tell Charlie the entire truth. Tell him exactly what happened and why. John, there is a reason he respects you and you respect him. Stand up like the Druid you are and take the last of the lumps for this thing. If he is half the man you've described, he will see the truth in your eyes, hear it in your voice and sense it in your heart... and then he will forgive you. Until you do this, it will weight like a stone around your neck. Even if you leave the group, you will carry the guilt with you because that is who you are. Speak of it, set it free and then you'll be free. Do not let anyone take anything else from you.
When I went out for that night alone in the woods, I took a cloth and cut eight strips in it, one for each of the weights I'd been carrying too long. I stated what each was, that I had been responsible for it and then, as I sewed up each tear, I forgave myself. The bundled, tied in three places, went into my Samhain fire. It freed me to become the person I am becoming.
Nothing will change, however, if you do not first forgive yourself.

My dad came to me during my ancestor work that I did before my 'night out' and told me to do the 'cloth thing'. I also wrote each thing on a piece of paper and placed it inside the bundle (forgot to mention that before). Tied once to release the past, once to forgive in the present and once to allow me to become the 'new me'. See all you missed not talking to me about this? *wink* And, for the record, oh Druid mine, your honor never left you. Now... HOW....WAS...WORK???
