Hello
I've been lurking around your wonderful little community for sometime now and from what I've read, I've found it to be my kind of place. Previously having belonged to a "Pagan Community" with many predjudices that I just couldn't associate myself with any longer, I've been wandering around looking for a place I could swing by every once in awhile and read, even post should the mood strike me in a friendly Pagan community. I find it refreshing to find a place where other Pagans seem to share my feelings of respect for all religions and Paganism itself as a true religion rather than simply a "fad". The general consensus of my previous home was "It's okay to mock Christians/Christianity because they do it to us". I don't feel that here and so... here I am
I am a 25 year old third-shifter wife and mother to six cats and two dogs. Both my husband and I are Pagans; though he tends more toward Faery Magick and myself toward Draconic. My mother raised me Roman Catholic but with a very open mind and I eventually found my own Path in a mixture of Celtic tradition, Green Witchcraft and various influences from other Paths (mostly Slavic, Norse, Egyptian, Greek, and Roma). Though I believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of one of the Gods, I tend to not classify myself as a "Christian". I supposed the best way to classify myself would be to say that I am a Celtic Green Witch who believes in Jesus Christ.
I'm a great lover of plants and herbs (I'm a regular tree-hugger...literally), music (pretty much everything but country - *lol*) and fantasy - movies and books. I'm an aspiring author and write a great deal of fantasy in my spare time. My faith and Pagan traditions themselves play a big part in my literary work. I'm an avid D&D player and post RPGer and enjoy playing fantasy/rpg games on my PC and PS2. I collect dragons, swords, D&D and anything connected to the works of Lewis Carroll (as I am a HUGE fan of both him and Edgar A. Poe).
Judging by my name, you may have noticed that I'm a Seussian fan too *lol*
So, in closing of my terribly long speech I shall simply add that I am very happy to be here and look forward to making many new friends. I consider myself to be a very open person so if there's anything you'd like to know, please feel free to ask me
