i was wondering how it has been for you. for me, its very hard. living here in the south, you are judged by what church you go to.....and if you dont go to church......you will be burning in hell. so i am not out publicly!

I don't follow any specific path, but I know that my feelings about Traditional Christianity are not publicly known.
I'd be burning in hell right along with you, EK!

According to the hardliners (Christian and Islamic) we will be in good company in hell! Gandhi, Dali Lama, Einstein, Ben Franklin, just to name a few. And don't worry - I've already ordered the heavy duty AC units and about 100,000 fridges! We'll be fine!

haha you only have one reason to burn in hell?? If not going to church is your biggest worry, then you're a better person than I.

i understand about being in the south. down here one of the first questions people ask when meeting you is "what church do you go to?" before i'd just say either we're still deciding or that we worship at home. lately though i've gotten more comfortable telling people that i'm pagan. so far i haven't had any negative reactions. the only ones who would probaly give me a difficult time with it would be my aunt and uncle. they're church of christ and tend to believe eveyone else is wrong. ;D i don't broadcast it to the world but if asked i'll let the person know.

a few of my friends are church of christ, they're crazy man. I saw this book similar to a devotional study, but in the back it had what was wrong with every other denomination and religion. Come on, how far can you go?

I personally feel that everyone should be able to worship the way they want to. I just can't understand why it's so important to (the general Christian) belong to a certain church or denomination.

Come on, how far can you go? Them.................Me Actually, there are fanatics and fundamentalists in ALL religions, but to have a written text about who and what is wrong? ? ? Well, at least if you know what they think is 'wrong' with you, you can have your answers ready to combat them!

My mum just thinks im lazy on sunday mornings lol. I think I told you this Marcus, but when I was about your age there was this girl named Marcy that had this HUGE crush on me (who could blame her right?) and was constantly trying to get me to go to church with her. I had "graduated" from Wicca to Faery Wicca/Witchcraft and was getting pretty deep...Though Sunday is/was my fishing day! No way was I going to go sit in church when I could be out catching catfish! Well, as time went on I kind of started to develop a few feelings for her as well (She wasn't an easy one to deny if you know what I mean ). I had met this couple that wanted to practice with me, so I began to educate them on what I had come to discover thus far..And they were...How should I say it...."Proud to be newly minted pagans". They told the world lol. When Marcy found out she never had another kind word to say to me...In fact I think the last thing she ever actually addressed to me was "I can see the evil in your eyes." Some might come to see such a lesson to be that you should keep such things quiet, and that was defiantly the way I saw it for a while, though I've come to understand that my beliefs are a part of who I am, and those who can't accept them can't accept me, and those who can't accept me need not expect me to accept them...Like you, I don't go around telling it, though if asked I'm glad to throw the information out there... Does that make me open I wonder? I haven't answered the poll yet simply because I'm not sure lol.

But in school....well there are those people that just look for an excuse to beat you up or bully you. Somehow word got out that apparantly i was a satanist lol. Anyway for that, for a full year of school i was bullied. It has only recently blown over. I will never forget what i had to go through so i generally dont tell anyone anymore.
