I have an affinity for the Earth/Mother Goddesses ~ Gaia, Demeter, Ceres, Mary....But I also claim Bastet and Isis as Patron Goddesses. Eclectic to the end am I!

I have heard a large # of people that say that, along with the Roman Mythology. That is funny whan you think about it, because the Celts originated from northern Italy, and mixed with the tribes in britania, and parts of Finland, Germany, and France. Welcome to PM, lenore!

I used to love all the Greek Mythology....But, as I got older, I found a little touch of Celtic. I have heard a large # of people that say that, along with the Roman Mythology. That is funny whan you think about it, because the Celts originated from northern Italy, and mixed with the tribes in britania, and parts of Finland, Germany, and France. The Celts actually originated I beleive in what is now Modern day Turkey but definitely expanded into most parts of the known world both peacably and not so peacably at times, but yes a good read of some of the old Irish texts for example certainly shows some of the ancesters from which Celtic spirituality, and Druidism as we know it today has been passed down. Welcome to our boards lenore, I hope to see many more of your thoughts here.
