That made me cry.. and it made me cry harder when Charlie's name was mentioned.. I miss him soo much.. I can kinda understand why he did it though. And i'm glad i'm not left to wonder how he did it. Now, Tempest.. That story was outrageous!! She shouldn't have been treated like that just because of her religion!! It's a load of BS!! Grrrrr... I reckon she shoulda just shot them all! Ok ok maybe not that.. but she shoulda got revenge.. I'm so angry i can't put all my thoughts into words..

The implication in the articles is that this event (which is absolutely tragic) didn't get any media attention because the poor girl was a Wiccan. I find this a very unfair implication, especially considering what's mentioned in one of the paragraphs: But for every violent episode that makes headlines, there are more than 2,000 U.S. children each year who, like Tempest Smith, quietly decide they can't take it any more. The reason it didn't make the news everywhere, is simply because it's not sensationalist enough. The comparision to Columbine is a completly unfair one. If a young girl dresses in black, she is teased and taunted at her school and presumed to be a Goth and interested in Witchcraft. (She was.) And if she resolves not to go to school one day with a gun, but decides instead that she will simply end her pain by taking her own life, well... that doesn't make her book material; it just makes her another teen suicide. This may seem a bit harsh .... but yes, she is another teen suicide. I assume this is a comment on the Cassie Bernall book, fact of the matter is, that book was written by her mother. It wasn't written by some right wing fundamentalist crackpot who wanted to push some Orthodox Christian agenda (I'm making an assumption her mother isn't a right wing fundamentalist crackpot, and I haven't read the book). And the publishers published it because it was about columbine, the biggest news story of the year. There are plane crashes all the time, but not all of them get made into a film like United 93.
