I thought this would be an interesting thread to start since, along with the books of today (Chariots of the Gods, etc.), the bible itself is filled with strong "evidence" of "alien" influence.

It was said that the Tuatha de Danann came from beyond the clouds, in ships that cast darkness over the sun for three days. Though many think this means they probably burned there boats when they landed upon the shores of Ireland, others feel it's evidence of extra-terrestrial influence in history...Personally I think they burned their boats, but who knows.

I never really considered those sentences to be as "Space ships." A very interesting idea indeed. But burning the boats seems to fit just as a just theory just as well.

From the bible: Ezekial saw the "Wheel"
21st Century King James Version (KJ21) Ezekiel 1:15-21
15Now as I beheld the living creatures, behold, a wheel was upon the earth by each of the living creatures with his four faces. 16The appearance of the wheels and their work was like unto the color of beryl, and all four had the same likeness; and their appearance and their work was, as it were, a wheel in the middle of a wheel. 17When they went, they went upon their four sides; and they turned not when they went. 18As for their rims, they were so high that they were dreadful; and their rims were full of eyes round about the four. 19And when the living creatures went, the wheels went beside them; and when the living creatures were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up. 20Whithersoever the spirit was to go, they went; thither was their spirit to go: and the wheels were lifted up opposite them, for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels. 21When those went, these went; and when those stood, these stood; and when those were lifted up from the earth, the wheels were lifted up opposite them, for the spirit of the living creature was in the wheels.
And Jacob's ladder from the clouds...Genesis 28:12 (21st Century King James Version) 12And he dreamed, and behold, a ladder was set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven; and behold, the angels of God were ascending and descending on it.
Symbolic or the real deal? We may never know.

i saw "something" when i was younger. i lived with my mother at the time. we were cooking out, and a large very fast moving "object" flew so close to our house it almost took out some trees. i will never forget the shaking of the earth. it was bizzare.

Some of the photos and video that I have seen from all over the world, but especially from Gulf Breeze in Florida, are amazing! (And I saw some of them LONG before photoshop was a gleam in the inventor's eye ;D) I am a firm believer in life on other planets ... it would be very arrogant of us to believe we are "it" ... and as to why they haven't landed and said hi yet, well we still go around killing each other for being "different", can you imagine what would happen to, say, a 12 foot tall talking lizard?

I've never actually seen a U.F.O. that I'm aware of...I still believe in them, as it just seems that there is an awful lot of space out there for it to be just us... "If it is just us...It seems like an awful waste of space". -Contact That sayings always pretty much summed up my thoughts on the matter.

SETI Probability
Fundamental to all SETI approaches is the belief that there are a reasonable number of technological civilizations out there who might be trying to communicate with us. The following formula for the number of technological civilizations in the galaxy is a modified form of one devised in 1961 by Frank Drake of Cornell, and is known as the "Drake Equation": N = N* x fp x ne x fl x fi x fc x L where: N* = number of stars in the Milky Way galaxy (400 X 109), fp = fraction of stars that have planetary systems (0.1), ne = average number of planets in such star systems that can support life (1), fl = fraction of planets on which life actually occurs (0.1), fi = fraction of such planets which intelligent life arises (0.01), fc = fraction of intelligent beings knowing how to communicate with other civilizations (0.1), L = average lifetime (fraction of the age of its star) of such technical civilizations (0.001).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
9012-003b
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Substituting the very conservative values given in parentheses for the entire Milky Way galaxy: N = 4000 Thus, there could be 4,000 worlds waiting for us to detect in our galaxy. Of course, the real question is "If there are that many technical civilizations present, why haven't we been able to detect them?". Perhaps its because we have been using the wrong frequencies! It is the possibility that we have indeed been looking at the incorrect part of the electromagnetic spectrum that forms the heart of this investigation. Note that many ETI scientists give more optimistic values for these parameters, and thus yield much higher values for N.

I get lost on these parts:
do you know where they got those numbers from?

Lots of people have photographed and seen "shadow figures". They look suspiciously alien, at least to me.
Some people have been attacked by this figures, and assume it was demon. I'm thinking it may have been extraterrestrial.

I'm thinking it may have been extraterrestrial. Some researchers such as Robert Bruce who allegedly has a lifetime of astral traveling and dealing with demons or "negatives" experience, as he calls them has said that astral beings re many times mistaken for aliens.

Looking at the (Pinwheel Galaxy) below, how can one be so arrogant as to suggest, "we are alone?"
