Ive been working on a solo project of late and things are starting to come together. I dont have anything properly recorded as of yet but i uploaded a short sample onto you tube. Tis only just a minute long but you can get the idea of the the kind of thing im writing. There is only electric and acoustic guitar on the sample. Obviously when i get the right recording equipment i can record drums, 2nd guitar, folk instruments, vocals and bass. Oh and by the way the project is called "Scáthanna" which means "Shadows" in Irish. I know its hard to get the idea from a 1minute sample but please let me know what all you people think! By the way there is a delay in the music and then what you see me playing Intelligent criticism is welcome! www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ah8wfy13Bc

I played it several times to really hear it well. My husband and I have COMPLETELY different taste in music and he came in to hear it from the other room, wondering what it was. He said to tell you it's really, really good! Hope to hear it progress as you add other the instruments and vocals. Very cool banner, too. Great image.... 'spirits entwine...' Do you mean 'alter' like change or 'altar' like where you make a sacrifice (not picking nits, or correcting your spelling... just want to fully appreciate the imagery)

Thanks for pointing that out!! lol an embarrasing spelling mistake!! Tis fixed now!! Glad you liked the tune even though it is rather short. There is more to the song but i didnt wont to load it all up.

I thought it was pretty good but Hothouse flowers are better! And thanks again for the congrats! Next on the agenda is letting a guy i know from Midhir Records listen to it to see if i can get a record deal!

The Riders of the Sidhe
Now under her blackened wings Our Lady weeps for the Riders of Sidhe Hailing from the Land of Promise Bound by the Whiper of the Men of Dea
Chorus Chant The Riders of the Sidhe The Riders of the Sidhe The Riders of the Sidhe The Riders of the Sidhe
Now under her blackend wings Our Lady looks to the skies and sees Red anger, Red blood on the white skins of young men and a song of courage in the stall of death.
Chorus Chant Repeated
Now under her blackend wings The Riders hear the Dagdas Harp There spirits not broken, but their bodies are torn The pillars whisper, their fate is sworn.
Chorus Chant Repeated
Now under her blackend wings Our Lady weeps and here she screams Upon the altars spirits entwine Howling of Moyturas bloodied shrines.
Chorus Chant Repeated
Those are lyrics to a song i will be recording with my band in December. They are not completly finished but that is mostly what they will be like.
