In the Lakota language "Tate" translates to "wind". Tate was formed by Skan, to be his companion, and was the husband of the double faced woman Anog Ite, and together they had four sons, but while she was pregnant she tried to replace Hanwi as the companion of Wi, and so she was banished. Tate then asks if he and his sons can can reside in Maka (the center of the world, mother earth) so that they can be near they can be near her. Even after her betrayal, and the curse upon her face, Tate loved her as a wife and as the mother of his children. Skan took pity and allowed this. Tate is the messenger of Skan and as such travels all over the world for him. He is the father of the four winds, which blow from four directions. Tate is a god of swift news, and wise council. He is the companion of Skan judge of the gods. The truth of his being, and the love of his story has with stood the test of time. (More to come as I find it) www.barefootsworld.net/nativefables.html1onewolf.com/lakota/cosmo2.htmweb.raex.com/~obsidian/LakoPan.html#TateThis is needed to bring us back into balance. When we learn to master . What we are? Who we are? Where we came from? When we restore harmony to humanity and Mother Earth... Then we will know that we are all mirrors of the universe itself-reflecting within its-self all laws and structures that govern creation.
