I enjoy these things as well. I've studied how the Celts saw the relationships between their own bodies and that of the land herself. I think that in the views of the Celts and Neolithic peoples, stone was seen as the "bones" of the earth. It also was common for them to use bone to make magic tools and carve such designs into them to enhance their qualities. It was the "cries" of stone by which the king was chosen. Meteors were seen as the bones of the stars and were regarded very highly.
I don't think it's any coincidence that some of the most powerful magic in Ireland was contained and preserved within these Brughs and the center of life.
