I find that I have continual trouble interpreting two cards - it doesn't matter where they show up in the thread - I feel confusion every time I try to read them.
They are:
The Magician
The Moon
I hope this will help. This is my take on these two cards:
Technically, I know what they are supposed to mean, but they make no sense to me when I try to interpret.
I'd appreciate anyone else's view on what they intuitively feel when they read these cards.
I – The Magician:
This card represents a very spirited, strong, creative, and skillful man – one who is virile, powerful, individualistic, agile, witty, and productive, but especially creative. It symbolizes the active, energetic, masculine, creative principle. It is the symbol of creation and energy in the purest sense.
This card signifies:
-Creativity
-Skill
-Diplomacy
-Will
-Self-Confidence
-Action
-Concentration
-Power
Meanings in a reading (depending how it falls):
-To symbolize an “ideal” or “dream” man for a woman.
-To help a person become aware of his/her potential.
-For help developing self-confidence.
-For help developing the skill of diplomacy.
-For help developing power and will.
-For help developing, fine-tuning, or using your (or the seeker’s) talents.
-For help in doing what needs to be done.
-For help in knowing what you (or the seeker) are doing and why, for understanding your intentions.

XVI – The Moon:
This card is complex and dual in its aspects. It can represent anxiety, worry, and unforeseen perils and symbolize fears in general, even very intense fears. It can betoken a crises in faith. It can denote deception, danger, hidden enemies, terror, withdrawal, and illusion. It can also symbolize an stimulation of the unconscious – the experience of strange dreams and emotions; bring encouraging psychic visions, calmness of mind, and a kind of universal compassion and comprehension.
This card signifies:
-Anxiety
-Illusion
-Withdrawal
-Duality
-Fear
-Self-protection
-Readiness
Meanings in a reading (depending how it falls):
To help release inner “demons”.
To help relieve suffering from phobias.
To bring vivid dreams or visions.
For help exploring the unconscious.
For help in thinking clearly and overcoming bewilderment in times of crises.
This card is usually not used as a signifier.
