THE MINOR CHAKRAS
THE HAND CHAKRAS:
The Hand Chakras are located in the palm of each hand and are powerful sensors and channels for vibratory information and energy. It is from these Chakras that energy is brought in or released whenever we make or do something. These are the main physical points where energy is exchanged, consciously and unconsciously. The energy of everything we touch is transmitted by these Chakras and assimilated. Energy is also transmitted from them back to whatever we touch. These Chakras are also the center outlet for most types of healing techniques. A feeling of numbness or cold hands could indicate a blocking of the inward and outward flow of these Chakras. The color of the Hand Chakras varies as the energy varies.
THE FOOT CHAKRAS:
The Foot Chakras are located in the arch of each foot. They help to maintain our connection to the Earth. These are essential as they enable us to root our energy system, just as lightening seeks to ground its energy into the earth. This enables each individual to ground their system to the earth. These Chakras draw earth energy in as well as ground you when necessary. Bad or negative energy can also be sent through these Chakras into the earth for dispersion. The color of the Foot Chakras is usually brown. Cold feet or a feeling of disconnection (a “spaced out” sense) could indicate a blocking of the Chakras in the feet.

I cant remember the source, but there is a christian mystical tradition that corresponds the wounds of christ with the greater and lesser chakras - do you have any teachings on a chakra in or around one's side? - or would this correspond to the horizontal plane of the cross as described by Joseph Cambell - roughly the solar plexus...

The Qabalistic magick system, which was born out Judaism and Christian mysticism employs an empowering ritual called the Middle Pillar. As described by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, the energy centers or chakras recognized by this ritual are as follows:
Crown of the head Throat Solar plexus Genitals Feet
Hope this helps you a little.

You have asked a question that I cannot answer right now. I have never heard of a "side" chakra before, though some teachings refer to sides of the chakras. I have never read anything Joseph Cambell has written concerning the chakras (though I have read a lot of Cambell's SciFi - I am going to have to do some research on this as it sounds very interesting NOTE: MY MISTAKE, I WAS THINKING ABOUT JOHN CAMPBELL, THE SCI-FI WRITER, NOT JOSEPH CAMPBELL), but based on the human body being a cross, then I would say the heart chakra rather than the solar plexus. And when doing the Qabalistic Cross it goes from the head to pointing to the feet, then to the right shoulder, then to the left shoulder, and ends on top of the heart. So, I would lean more toward the heart chakra than the solar plexus. But that is just my opinion - I am going to have to do some research and see what I can find. Thank you for asking! This is going to be a fascinating study!

My non-pagan friend does alot of work with the chakras its called like: Sahaji Joga or something lol. I have never tried it though. xxx And I would suggest you not "try" it. This is an intense yoga that is supposedly used to awaken the kundalini. This is something that shouldn't be entered into lightly as it can be dangerous to awaken the kundalini before a person is ready. I'm not saying not to pursue it if you are interested, but know that it will be a long process, possibly many years, to do it properly and safely.
