Hi Everybody,
More stuff that I've just unearthed from the old Mac and the KW class over on CIS.
*************************************
<<<<<O.K....what would be actual KW stuff? ... However, if this is basic stuff, what's your definition of "real" KW stuff? What other kinds of things *could* you be covering? If I knew that, I could say whether that's where I'd like to go or not....I kinda think the basics of homecraft and the craft are good since I, at least, need to learn the basics (being somewhat new to the "game").>>>>>
Weeeellll..... to ME Kitchen Witching is cooking up spells and charms in the kitchen.... it's the "how to's" of spell craft... you know... bake your bread in a Celtic love knot... sprinkle cinnamon/sugar on toast in a heart shape... always stir your food clockwise and put blessings and power into the food... making incense, oils, and bath salts... Basically, it's quick, fun, easy, "charming"....
This is as opposed to HomeCraft which is a heck of a lot of hard work! <G>... Basically I see HomeCraft as the down and dirty end of what must be done for the smooth running/protection of the home and family. It's the real meat and potatoes of the Craft.... Kitchen Witching is the spice and seasoning which makes the meat and potatoes smell and taste wonderful.
One of the reasons that I chose to start with the HomeCraft instead of going straight to the KW is that I think the basics are important.... if we neglect them than anything that is built upon them will be shaky.... always lay a good foundation before beginning to built anything you want to be permanent. The other is that there are tons of books out there on Kitchen Witching and even Witchcraft itself ... but so far I haven’t found too many that deal with the how-to's and why-fors of HomeCraft.
Does that make sense... the way I've described the differences?
TS
PS... see... the more you post the easier it becomes.... you former lurker you! <G>
