I have a awesome "recipe" for a natural bug repellent. It is a bit costly for the essential oils, if you do not already have them. Also the alcohol can be pricey as well.
Lavender Oil (heavy for scent) Rose Geranium Oil (light amount) Tea Tree Oil (great for skin, so use best judgment) Everclear (or some other high quality alcohol) Bourbon (just a splash)
In a glass container (I use a spray bottle for convenience) mix half bottle of Everclear then other ingredients as stated. Shake well.
If not used for some time, remember to give a shake.

OK. But... maybe you can put the oils in the bottle, drink the Everclear, run around spraying people with the oil yelling this is Magick Bug Oil!!! You won't care about the bugs biting you either! Just a thought. >^!!^<

Gonna be allot of bugs out this year, and I'm gonna be doing allot of fishing...May need to give this a try.

Just a little note here, I've got my mind back. Bugs don't bite me, only the dreaded FireAnt. I sit outside and everyone else is attacked accept me. They apparently don't like my blood chemistry. But, when I go back to South Dakota they chew me up! Isn't this a weird fact? I don't have a real explanation for it. >^..^<

Can't catch crap when you're to bussy slapping the hell out of yourself...Trust me you don't look overly bright either.

I need to make a pilgrimage to the land of Kentucky to get some everclear. . . they wont sell it in ohio, the poo-poo blue-law heads. Its nifty stuff to have around for magick (makes damn good cauldron water) and for general boozing

Aislin, you'd use Everclear as cauldron water? I bet you have a lot of high spirits!! Many would come to drink of that draught. lol >^+.+^<

It makes one heck of a balefire lemme tell you. I also like to play with fire throws (saltpetre is my friend no matter what some incense makers say about it lol I'm a sucker for dramatics). I'm a wee bit of a pyro. If i ever get to go to Pagan Spirit Gathering, i'm planing to camp in drummers camp and make nice with the Clan of the Pyros and hopefully learn fire dancing. My element is water yet I heart the fire

Fire, fire, fire! I'm drawn to water as a moth to the flames. I'm a fire sign, an Aries. I was entranced with fire as a child. After many bad accidents with Fireworks, I took up with water. Just don't drink your Everclear cauldron water, then try to manipulate the Element of fire. When you use your words of invocation, your breath could cause a fire. lol That'd get the drummers drumming!!!>^..^<

Probably if i look hard enough LOL i don't fancy dying of lead posining though. Kentucky is litteraly my back yard (well. . . roughly 2 miles away 'cross the river) So its not that big of a deal to get everclear, I just never seem to remember when I'm there, nor really make a lot of stuff with it, I'll just bum it off my friend who keeps it stockpiled haha
I have a few recipes for mead, but i have never tried to make it
