Anyone ever tried their hand at making their own natural soaps? I love to make them, when ever I get a free minute heh. My preferred bases are glycerin enriched with olive oil or coconut oil. I have yet to try making my own lye based. . . i'm afraid of melting my skin off haha. So far my favorite soaps to make have been dragons blood for ritual use, and two not so magical blends: Pirate Bath and Cannibal bath both my creations lol. Pirate bath has rum extract in a coconut oil base, with orange peel to exfoliate (and keep away scurvy ) and Cannibal bath is olive oil, rosemary, clove, and I think I put thyme in there too.... Kinda like a marinade for humans rotfl. . . I'm a wee bit morbid but it smells good and makes you soft. Any other soap crafter's out there?
