Ok guys here the deal...Again. The boards like wicca, witchcraft, druidry, Native American spirituality which have so many diffrent branches and topics which almost need to be sub-boards have been tucked back, out of plain veiw as sub-boards themselves. Is this wise in your opinion?
On the other hand, it does make us appear mor organized. So what do ya'll think on this? This time I'm leaving it to you all.

This is the problem that i have had at the megaweb forum i help administrate. So many different boards and topics that it became to much to moderate and very difficult to navigate. It looks great but can be difficult. But the main problem for me was that there was only really two moderators including myself. Whereas here we have quite a few regular mods so it may be easy enough to handle. You say they are tugged away out of view. Perhaps you could organise the main page like this forum. go to the link and you see what i mean. www.nocturnalhorde.com/forums/index.php?sid=13ba3454763915f3b7fa974bc3455b4dYou have the main title of each board but underneath you have the list of each forum within it. |

So do you think that (we'll use witchcraft as an example) we modify the wicca and witchcraft board to be general information, then create other sub-boards for traditions such as stregha, faery, and others we;d run the risk of having to many sub-boards? Especially when you take into account that other nature religions will have other topics as well, such as Celtic recon, and revivalism, Welsh Druidry, Stottish etc, Native american spiritualities would have a HOST of sub-boards. However by the same token if we list them down the front page we look as though we're over doing it on topics...Having around 6 more boards on the homepage. Heres another question Marcus...How do you guys advertise? |

Well one of the dominant forums at megaweb is the music mostly "Metalmega." The founder and I both have myspace accounts so we created a myspace page for metalmega www.myspace.com/officialmetalmega(im not trying to spam by the way lol. just showing an exmaple!  ) and then also a megaweb forum at myspace. We also have an MSN group: groups.msn.com/MEGAWEBBasically we created a selection of "mini" pages throughout the web in well used places such as myspace and msn. Another dominant part of megaweb would be the space part and for that we are abit sneaky lol. in forums we are members of of we create a "space pics" thread and every now and then post a class pic and then say see more at this link and the link sends them to us. |

I've been thinking about the layout, too, just not sure which way to go with it. I haven't been feeling too good the last 2 days (migraine), but I will post more on this when I feel a bit better. We should be able to come up with something!  I also like the idea of a My Space page. It would be great if Marcus could set one up for us! There might be a few more places and blogs like that we could go to. Something else to check out. But for now I'm going to go take another pill and lie back down. I feel like this  and I fell like this  is inside my head trying to get out! (I HATE these damn headaches!) Later! |
