Okay, so I'm bragging.. but I'm very proud of my husband. We live in conservative Boise, Idaho, and my husband has, on numerous occasions, stood up publicly as a Pagan in support of various local issues. When Homeland Security was targeting the local Muslim community, he was there defending their rights (along with Jews and Christians). He has been active with the local peace coalition. And, most recently, he is part of a local interfaith hunger organization, doing what it can to help alleviate hunger in Idaho. He went openly as a Pagan and has been accepted as part of their group. They hosted a hunger summit last fall, with speakers from the USDA and national hunger awareness organizations. He's become good friends with the Pastor of a local church, and we went there on Thanksgiving to help serve a meal to the needy. I am very proud of him and his activism in these ways. I'd like to hear about other Pagans who aren't afraid to openly proclaim who they are and take part in making their communities a better place to live.
