Was wondering what others think about this quote? It is from: www.religioustolerance.org/druid.htm "Druidry is not a religion. It's a philosophy and you can worship a God or a Goddess, it's up to you. You can be a Christian or a Moslem or anything else and still be a Druid. But while a Christian will say God made that tree, a Druid will say the energy of a creative force is in that tree." -Kieron, a North-East UK Druid.

I readily admit that I'm not well versed in Druidry, although I am researching.
What I "feel" is that the quote is correct. At least for me. I think a Christian would be able to be a Druid because "the energy of the creative force" that made the tree would be God.
Which to a Christian is everything.

You might have a look at this link, there are others but I'm kind of in a hurry. druidry.org/modules.php?op=modload&name=PagEd&file=index&topic_id=1&page_id=104

Religion: A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion. You're covered!

Religion: A cause, principle, or activity pursued with zeal or conscientious devotion. You're covered! Hmmm, for me following the Druid path is a life long quest for knowledge and wisdom. Religion can sometimes be seen as dogma and/or cast in stone. Stone would only be one of at least 9 (though some Scottish forms of the dúile have 7, while other forms still have 13 elements) ways of looking at life and being, whether that being is of physical, mental, or spiritual. There are many far more beautiful and moving ways to see these things as well as their qualities...Personal philosophies would certainly be one of these ways....I wonder if philosophy would be considered a way of the mind or a way of the spirit?

...I wonder if philosophy would be considered a way of the mind or a way of the spirit? I think it would depend on the approach of the individual. Many people who make it a point to show up to their "services", sit up front, sing the loudest and talk the talk for the hour or so, then go right back to backstabbing and cheating and ripping folks off. IMO, this is the way of the mind. IMO, living what you're "following" teaches is the way of the Spirit.
