Well, I don't suppose I consider myself as a "witch". I consider myself a Christian. People sometimes forget the heavy supernatural edicts of Christianity. Heaven, Hell, Divine intervention, personal relationship with the highest of deities ... all these are phenomenal ideas that are overlooked just because the religion is so widespread. There is a huge difference in familiar and unexceptional. I agree, it seems as though since Christianity IS such a wide spread religion some people do tend to "get used" to it. The second coming, the resurrection etc. It's all a very magical thing, but since as Pel says it's so widespread and so "everyday" that it is sometimes easily forgotten.

Yes I call myself a witch. I have had so many people (Not in the Craft) argue that I must be a Warlock (Deliver me from TV and Movie labels). I explain that no, I'm a witch. I can be a real Son of a Witch if I have too! ;D

Lol I definetly call myself a witch, if I don't stand out from the background because of fear then I'll simply blend in and be another bad stroke in the paint!
It's good to be diverse because people forget that they can be different and make a mark on the world just like any other Einstien or Edeson!

OK, first I have to say Senbecc, that was wonderfully said, but you didnt answer the question. I consider myself a witch, as I was declared one in a Witch tradition. (I am male, and a witch - I am not a wizard - I may be old, but I'm not THAT old!) I also consider myself a christian, because I believe in the teachings of christ, as I interpret them. But do I call myself a witch? No - I mainly just call myself James. LOL

But do I call myself a witch? No - I mainly just call myself James. LOL Well, I do use the terms Bard and/or Druid to keep people from becoming confused, though I don't hang on the title to much. It seems important to me to remember how seldomly the Celts (As well as many of the other practices like "witch") ever actually named their beliefs and/or practices. Though like everyone else in my beginning time I used titles. However I've since learned that it's not important (to me) to categorize through titles.
