haha, loved it!! glasgow reel really is one of the most fun pieces to play! someone taught me the first bit of it once, and on wednesday night at the pub i picked up the rest of it, i love it so much! and one of those songs is from lord of the dance!..not that i like lord of the dance anyway...he had a nice bodhran, too!! and i desperately want to learn the harp..but cant imagine how expensive it'd be maybe one day i wish there were more close ups of the drummer, i was wondering at the way he held it. tis great marcus, thanks!

Not sure what the name of the tune is. I recorgnise most of those tunes as i play along with them almost every friday. Now these pieces are my favourite session tunes! The Rose in the Heather! and the Kesh. Have you ever heard of them? www.youtube.com/watch?v=yQibisRYaQMAt the you tube it is an American dude playing them on the fiddle in reel time. But if you go to this link you can here them played slower. I think its played in a hornpipe sort of time. Not sure though. www.tennessen.com/heritage/mp3/rose_in_the_heather.mp3

Do you know any albums I may purchase in the future? There are so many albums out there its unbelieveable. If you go to amazon you will definetly find some. My Irish trad teacher has an album out called "Niall MacClean - Live in Lituania." He played to over 3000 people and it was recorded! great wee cd. There was one on ebay recently i think. Ill ask him if there are any left.

Not sure i know that tune. I dont like the sound of that mandolin in the video. Tis too loud. I prefer when it is an acompanyment rather than the dominant tune.

hmm, meanie oh well, i dont need a name i spose. i thought it was a bit loud, but maybe its just the way it was filmed. wasnt the violin right down the end of the table? i was trying to listen to it only, lol
