Greetings, I live in Southern Oklahoma but I am originally from SE Missouri. I am just a Hedge witch and what I like to call a Heinz 57 as far as my heritage goes. Scots Irish, German, Norwegion, English, French, Spanish, Dutch and 1/16 Native American. I have followed my path for 15 years, its a long meandering path but its mine lol. The traditions I have dabbled in so that I might learn more include powwow, hoodoo, herbalism, divination etc. I wouldnt go so far as to assume I have mastered them but I know enough to make me happy. My patron is Cerridwynn.. she guides me where I need to go. And so here I am

How are things down home? Getting hot now that summer is almost here. You always know when it's summer here, the Harleys start rattling the windows, and the girls outfits all get skimpier...Life is good sometimes. ;D

Fayettville?! Do you ever shop at Passages or SpellCrafters? Two fairly good shops if they're still there. I came to SD because my parents moved up here, then I come up for a visit and never went home...I miss my trees Spellcrafters? No, they don't have that store any more. Passages is still here though. It moved down the road towards the old hospital...err...we have a new hospital. The old one was washington regional. Small world! Ya tress > s. dakota. ... at least you didn't move to wyoming, with the exception of that itty corner by idaho, the rest of hte state is like a nuclear bomb testing facility. Spellcrafters was a fairly small buisness, it may have gone under, or may have been pushed out by fundies, as they had signs up the last time I was there...That's a shame.

in 1776 right? oh and thats also my cousins birthday. my favorite cousin... lil piece of info you didnt need. Hee Hee. I must admit I feel torn when I celebrate the 4th. First the Indiain part of me goes "huh"? And the Southern Belle part of me goes "huh"? Then the fireworks start and the BarBQues start to send out yummy smells and the rest of me tells the other two "shut up!" (I bet your cousin was 10 before he/she was told the party wasn't for her! ) On the fourth of July I always am tempted to run naked through this ultra conservative burb in which I reside- howling and painted, alas my Native American blood comes from a peaceful tribe (but my mother would be laughing hysterically from the Summerland!!). I love my country but I too cannot embrace this celebration. ::shrug:: Kisses and Blessings---Sarah-Lynn

My birthday is the 18th...exactly 2 weeks from the 4th. I also grew up on a military post. I was convinced until after I turned 16 that the 4th's celebration was all for me. I see that now the holiday is just another excuse for getting drunk, but it's also everything that I LOVE about the summer! BBQ, brass bands pounding out those souza marches and cadances, the smell of the gunpowder from the fire work cannons, hot dogs and baseball games, coming home sunburnt and exhausted, but happy from the day. All of the typical "American" things to do on the 4th! The little bit of indian in me is outraged too, but I am able to ignore the voices in my head, usually. Until they get too loud...... ;D
