How do you experience Freya?
She acts as my guide, and She came at a time when my third eye decided to jumpstart itself. Freya did teach Odin her magic, perhaps she is asserting her skills into my life as well!

yay Maggie!
I myself cannot say. I don't know Freya well enough to recognise her in my life... not yet, anyway. Knowing my little bit of you though, I am glad she has found you and you her! Hail Freya!

Freya did teach Odin her magic, perhaps she is asserting her skills into my life as well! The gods in my experience like to guide those they feel close to, this guidance can come in a myriad of ways. I've always felt (as I think you touched upon a bit in you references to Freya and Odin) that a serious study of the texts and the lore can definitely be one of many ways to open the mind and the self into a spiritual awareness. As it is through these stories that one comes to know, and understand the gods in relation to their own individualism, and from there which gods it will be that will be the closest to them. Now bare in mind that I'm no Asatruar, I simply speak of the things I have come to understand in my studies of Celtic spirituality, Bardcraft, and the Druid path. Though I think in most cases the gods work by the same basic tenants.
