Bruce I can see you've got a rare talent for mousing! I've searched high and low and all I found was a Vole, naturally I tried to share it, got yelled at for my trouble. I've been taking it easy, the house help have let the feeders get empty. I'm sure they're in league with the Birds!Oh well such is a cats life! xoxox Shadow

Vole? what my dear is a Vole? I am glad that you are taking it easy. Because I have been too. I have been sunning on the porch being supremely lazy. I am loving laying there on the warm wood watching cars go by, and the occasional bird thinks I'm dead so I givem a swat...

Why Bruce, a Vole is tiny field mouse. It's hardly worth catching, except for their loud squeaky voices! We got a plethora of Gekkos on the front porch, I'm patiently waiting for the little buggers to fall. The days are getting hot, so I spend my time in the back under the bushes. Who knows a bird may blunder into my cozy hide away, I'll be waiting. Write soon! xoxox Shadow

The Vole must make a sound similar to the rabbit. Rabbits make a high squealing sound that just drives me wild!!! I love it. Well I have sad news to report. My whiskers have been permanently altered. The small human that is now mobile (much to my demise) and well I was unsuspecting of his cruelty. The chubby wet thing pulled my whiskers nearly off my face before my lady snatched him away from my vicious paw! I was appalled. Now I have curly whiskers. I will never be the same..........

Bruce, I'm sorry I missed this! What was the little ankle biter thinking!!! I am truly appalled! I spend most of my time outside, but when the short shrieky thing comes to visit I head north, right up the Maple. I only whoop the invaders for their own good. heeheee I'm sure you're just as handsome with curled whiskers as with straight. Climb high my friend, climb high. xoxox Shadow

Many apologies to my Shadow... I have been so busy hunting! Well thats what I say I am doing anyway...
I usually am laying on the porch soaking up the sun. Watching the birds of course. I love to be all warm from the sun. Makes me all sleepy. I tried to catch a butterfly, but t hey are faster than they look!

Dear Bruce, I've missed our titillating conversations. The ladies son came to visit her, he brought a young punk Canine! That pup had no manners! I swelled up three times my normal svelte size, and she still tried to sniff me!!! Luckily for her, the lady called her off, I had my razor claws ready. I tell you these younger animals have no respect for us mature animals. I've killed many fine birds of late. I've got an eye on the Blue Jay sniffing around the Grapes. Take care my friend. Ugh canines.... I do hate that you had to deal with that. How heinous... they smell too. Thankfully the only ones I have to deal with live across the street. I am finding it so hard to be indoors. When I am in these creatures she has pulls at my fur and tail. Retaliation is eminent. I strike out with out thinking. I scratched the small hairless one again the other day(the whisker puller) and I got in trouble! The Whisker Puller was getting my fur soaked with this vial goo coming from its near toothless mouth. I gave several warning meow's but no luck.

Oh Bruce! I'm so sorry your space is repeatedly violated. As I said the young have no respect for their elders. Take for instance, I had one of the little furry varmits cornered. Do you think he took his beating like a Tom, no, he screamed until he was rescued. I was thrown out on my can! We may need to look into Palm Springs again. Happy Hunting! Hey while your lady is gone, you can exact revenge against the toothless horde! XOXOX Shadow

Great idea on the revenge scheme!!! If it backfires we just might have to make a run to Palm Springs as discussed... I also had my varmint cornered today and the squealing gooey thing swatted at my beautiful face, so I hissed which drew the attention of my lady so I got my tail swatted! Oh the nerve! We should make more firm plans in the land of sun and fun!

Sorry it's been awhile Bruce. The lady had to get a new mouse??? I still haven't seen or smelled that mouse. It's probably a fairy tale! Been nice and warm here, the little invaders have been hiding out, so it's quiet. Yes I think you should lower the boom when you're lady is safely out of town. It'll teach those whisker twisters a lesson! haha Good hunting my friend. XOXOX Shadow

Having the lady of the house gone was not as fun as I had anticipated. The man of the house forgot to have my bowl full to maximum capacity, I never had fresh water, and so I stayed outside nearly the whole time my lady was MIA. There is a local tomcat here that I hang with sometimes. He doesn't invade my turf, so we are all cool. You have a mouse in the house that you have not located yet? Need I come to visit?

Bruce, I too have suffered the neglect of the "man". He actually has the unmitigated gall to close the door in my face! Me the Familiar! Well that just won't do will it, I'll hack a hairball in his shoe! Humans can be so uppity! No I haven't found the blasted mouse. I'm truly baffled as to its hiding place. I just can't smell a thing.
