I put forth to all of you that this is a living forum, which only needs nurturing and tending. As with any garden, neglect brings weeds and fallow ground. Attention, love and faith bring bounty. Who will help me plant, tend and harvest here?

These are tea roses. They are only about 3" across and beautiful variations within each flower, from white to pink, even to 'stripes'. When in bloom, they can have literally a hundred flowers to each bush. The bush is rather compact in size and shorter than the average rosebush, with much tinier thorns. And, they smell even better than they look!
BTW, I've updated the 'Apache' thread with lots of myths for you!

Well they certainly sound like a good flower to have, especially if you do not have a huge amount of space with which to plant. I think Ill pick some up this year when growing season starts again, so thanks for the info, and once again for the Apache information. *gives thumbs up to wren, depthless well of general good-to-know information.*

Oh, full sun for the roses by the way. And, if you get thrips (tiny little black baddies) just spray the rosebush with garlic juice on a cloudy day and they should go away fairly quickly!

I wish I were allowed to plant in our yard, but our landlord forbids it. Atleast it has a few rosebushes and 3 trees. I'm with you Wren, I'll help out as best I can.
