Hey Guys me and Claire have been talking ( flowerfaeryqueen) and we feel like we have been slipping away from the practical side of wicca lately- Not because we want to but because of our hectic lives! The pyschological part of it is still with us - the gods and goddesses! Its just we are so busy we have no time to honour it and when we do spells the supplies cost quite alot of money and time: and what with: school, friends, work and general teen stuff we feel like were losing ourselves and I personaly are feeling like a bad wiccan. We still know its who we are we just havent got the time anymore to honour our religion! Please help what shall we do ? Blessed be x.x.xx

I would say first, though I am not Wiccan, that you don't want to forgo honoring your tradition because you don't have 'supplies'. A finger is also a wand of power. A picture or two of powerful images, a fresh flower, a special stone, a spring of herbs... these can replace statuary. Little dishes of pure salt and water, etc. are good enough for basic use. A dollar store votive candle can be lit and extinguished each day, lasting quite awhile. You don't need expensive oils and chalices and wands and crystals and capes and jewelry. Your magic and your power are not in your ritual tools.
As for the act of honoring, it need only be brief and heartfelt. A moment or two each morning before school and at night before bed begins and ends the day in the right place. Ask yourself what else is so important that you cannot spare a few moments a day?

You dont have to worry. Being a teen is a tough time! Especially when you follow any sort of Pagan path. Many young pagans are in exactly the same boat as you two. When you are older and free from all the constraints placed upon maturing teens you will be able to practice freely without any hesitation. Im still not entirely free from the teenage constraints myself!!!! Still have a few months left before im 18! I feel sorry for my poor overprotective mother already!! ;D

Yeah, well, I'm a LONG way from those years and it doesn't get easier. Try it with your kids in the house!

I agree with Wren, it doesn't get any easier when you get older. It's hard to do when you have 3 children running around the house. Meditating with a 4 year old is a test in itself.
Try looking in dollar stores for supplies. Ours carries candles, incense and potpourri. In the craft section I found shells, sand, artificial flowers, leaves and wheat. Use your imagination, be creative.
