It's assignment time... Here's what I'm working on at the moment for NOD....
Keeping the Hearth Fires.. Why is Druidism Relevant Today?
I'd love to hear what anyone has to add to this... Even if just incomplete thoughts... I'm trying to formulate a response to this one myself at the moment..

Even if just incomplete thoughts... I'm trying to formulate a response to this one myself at the moment.. An interesting question. I think for me Druidry has become an extension of spirit. Celtic spirituality focuses it's self mainly on the ancestors, Druidry focuses on knowledge and the wisdom of those ancestors IMO, today I think Druidism becomes the same for many, it changes how one views reality, and through the power of truth teaches us to see things as they actually are, as opposed to how they seem. Ancient and modern Druidic knowledge work in unison to create a "new" path. A strictly ancient path isn't going to be very relevant in today's world IMO, so it is through the three forms of druidic knowledge, inquiry, tradition, and experience, as well as Imbas that we work to create a modern Druid path that will indeed be Relevant to today's needs, peoples, and traditions. |

I wouldn't let you give me the answers right out.... let me get the complete assignment question..... Keeping the Hearth Fire Write an essay (3-5 pages, double spaced) answering the question “why is druidism relevant today?” Please incorporate the idea of the archetype of druidism, the collective unconscious, and the ecological unconscious in your response. |
