A Dream?

This Morning as I was reading certain Threads in this forum
I was reminded of a dream I had about 6 years ago now

The dream seemed Extremely detailed and vivid , if a little unimportatnt, but there some things in it that seemed much more then a dream.

In this dream I was walking through a School of higher learning of somekind, the odd thing was that all the interior walls were made of huge sheets of glass, from the ceiling to about 2 foot from the floor, then that bottom part was just wall.

There seemed to be a sense of excitement permeating the air as I walked through the halls, people were talking and smiling and whispering to each other as if they knew a secret that I did not know, for their glances kept shifting to me then back to each other as they smiled and talked.

I happen to catch a glimpse out of the corner of my eye, of a man crossing through what seemed like class rooms, but the walls being made of glass, I could see him from many rooms away, this man seemed to be on a course that would intercept me, and the closer he got the more I felt butterflys in my stomach and the more the people seemed to look at me, just as this man got to a door way that I was close to, I stopped and just stood there watching as he came around that door way and stood looking at me smiling with somekind of secret knowledge.

I put out my right hand and held it up as if to ward him off but I was smiling, almost laughing and taking a step back as I asked him what he was up too.

He was tall, and lithe , wearing a tight black t-shirt of somekind of silky looking material and some kind of black pants that looked a little like old school parachute pants , I could see his clothes in detail but his face seemed hazed over as the tv does when they are trying to hide someones idenity

He took my out stretched hand that I was trying to ward him off with and sank to his knees, and I was instantly afraid yet extrememly excited, I yanked my hand away from his and took another step back, again laughingly asking him what he was up to this time, he simply laughed and grabbed my left hand and pulled me back closer

there were so many people gathered around us and smiling and chuckling, as he took my left hand and raised it to his lips and kissed it,(it was a strange feeling)
This man who ever he was asked me to marry him and slide a ring on my finger, (now comes the important part to me)

I looked down at the ring on my finger and felt as if I had been kicked in the gut, now in the dream, I sank to my knees with him and said yes but that isnt the important part as far as I am concerned. The ring was the important part of this dream

I was a womans size , as if made for my finger exactly
Silver or some other material like it but so brilliant and shining as if it had its own light

There was a single Red stone in the top of it, Ruby or Garnet, I think, the ring had no seems at all anywhere, it was like it had been hand carved from one piece of material

I cannot do justice to the description here but at the time the image was so vivid and clear in my mind that I had my brother draw what was the last thing I saw in this dream,

I looked down at my hand and brought it up closer to my eyes in the dream and the top of this ring is indeliably burned into my mind

I believe deep in my heart and soul that this is my ring and that I will find it when I am supposed to
I have been looking for sometime now, but have let my search slide by the way side for many a month now, and after reading Threads this morning, I was reminded and not gently either lol

So I am asking my friends here , if you have any clue, know anything, even of the smallest nature of this ring or this symbol, please let me know


I have felt for days and days now that things are changing rapidly and if we are not aware and watching that somehow we may not know what our destiny is.

I think if we all pay attention, that it will let us know here real soon, changes are afoot and we must be ready when they happen

My first thought was the sickle of Rhiannon, who is also associated with red, though this would be two 'sickles'.

Rhiannon
Nurturing, Protection, Harvest, Decline and death
Autumn, Dusk, West, Red, Sickle, Tree, Earth

Rhiannon is a Goddess of fertility, nurturing and the harvest so She is honored most at Dusk and in the Autumn. At Calan Awst she is a young woman, heavy with child. At Alban Elfed (Autumn Equinox) she is a strong mother, defending her children. At Calan Gaeaf (Samhain) she is a crone, concerned with the act of Death. She is associated with horses and birds

I'll think on it some more and see what else I can come up with...

Another interesting point I noticed when looking at the picture that might figure in here-the stone is cut into a manner so that its surface forms the Wheel of the year, though of course this may be mere coincedence. Yet the two half-circles or 'sickles' could also possible symbolize the 'light' and 'dark' halves of the year here, which would also be very fitting for Rhiannon, who was a goddess of change as we see in her forms of maid, mother, and crone. This all figures into what you said about feeling that things are changing, and perhaps the ring is a literal symbol of that, and perhaps its not. As I said, all of this is conjecture on my part.

Over the course of looking for this symbol or what ever it is, I have had people tell me some things

one person said they remember seeing it as the symbol for a 13th century assians guild
a customer of mine was a bit in shock when he saw it because it said he had seen this same symbol on a painting of a shield in a art fair in California about 10 years before and that was 5 years ago now
one lady told me she thought it might be Atlantian but wasnt sure

My cards told me I had to earn it even though it was mine by rights, not sure what that meant

and as I said before, the other part of the dream even though very detailed , just didnt seem to mean anything to me.
The Ring was the important part to me
my first gut instinct was that it was a family crest or one of those rings used to make seals on things,(cant remember the name of those kinds of rings)
My mother told me it looked like something that was a key to open something else
because those things that you called sickles actually are raised up and cradle the stone.

I am sorta at my wits end and its been driving me for a long time now

anything is a help at the moment
although this dream happened years ago , about 5 to be exact and I really believe that it is a real ring that exist and not just a symbolic dream thing
I had never noticed the wheel shape of the stone, but my birthstone is a ruby

every piece of information I can get , will help me find it , I think
