Hi all
Well my thought tonight is, disbelief or excitement lol
I think I should explain, as some of you know, I am a quasi writer of sorts.
I find pictures and they inspire poems, and I write them
Well I also have been working on a novel for the last 5 years .
The charachters love to ignore me for long stretches of time then suddenly start tap dancing on my brain and when I emerge from the writing frenzy, or come to as I like to call it
I have pages of stuff but, so far none of it hooks together right.
well I recently joined a group where the members can post there writings, I of course havent posted much, because it would be parts of my novel and I wont put it out there until its finished.
However, one of the memembers , who I found out, is a published writer herself, set up a writing exercise, and outlined a couple of concepts and then told everyone to see what they could do with it.
She said she wanted us to paint a picture in her mind with our words, along with following the few ideas that she had posted.
Well, needless to say, I couldnt resist giving it a try to see if I could write something by someone elses scenero
and when I got home today, her critique was posted and she actually liked it.
"This is great stuff! Yes, you brought it to life and painted passion in my mind. Is this in your novel? If it's not then you might want to think about starting one. It's a little rough but if you smooth it out and make things flow, then you have a real winner here."
this was her actualy review of what I wrote.
I wont place what I wrote here due to the steamy romance nature of the writing, because we have minors who enjoy this site and I wont ruin it for them. but needless to say. it just showed me that the path I am taking by going college for creative writing , is a good one.
I had almost been second guessing myself about going back to shcool, but I think that I need too now more then ever.
I hope to be posting some of my poems here soon but tonight, I am thinking seriously of hitting the bed real soon, I am use to leaving home and getting to work in the dark but I am not use to getting home when its dark on the same day as I went to work when it was dark lol
I got my butt kicked today, and am too tired to even think about poems lol
