;D Hello everyone, long time no talkie ;D
I have just been reading through all the new blog threads and I think it is great
The more ideas and thoughts we put into Pagan Mystics, the richer in texture it becomes for all of us.
I will be popping in an out as I can, due to issues that are much too mundane and boring to blog about lol.
I really am pleased to see the blog idea taking root and continuing the idea of everyones thoughts and ideas and poems enriching this site.
I start school in 12 days and I am switching my major from a general associates or arts degree to a Journalism degree, what type of journalism I am not quiet sure as of yet but my brother and I discussed it this evening for a while and more then likely , it will be some sort of research journalism,of which he says is about the 3rd most dangerous job there is! LMAO not sure how he thinks that, cause I really cant see sitting behind a computer and hitting keys all day can be dangerous lol
I believe that the goddess has plans for me and at the moment they seem to be leading in this direction.
It's funny sometimes how life can take turns that one never expects, nor ever even thought about, but as we all are aware, the goddess has a way of taking your destiny and reshaping it , in ways that your not sure you can bend.
Alas one must try anyway, so guys and gals , witches, pagans and all of the family in this wonderful land, hopefully the next time I can put something on this blog that will be much better then have done lately.
I do have one last thought for the day.
My oldest son was here for a about 3 days at xmas and he and I went and had coffe and talked for about 3 hours, and to my great surprise, I found myself listening to his advice and taking what he had to say to me seriously, from one adult to another.
Now what amazes me is that even though I have always believed that children are not just extension of oneselve but people in their own right, even when they are young, that I still had this idea in my head that because he was my child and younger and not as experienced or knowledgable as I am in things and in life, that he couldnt possibly do anything but listen to me whine , rant and rave about my pittiful issues.
To my astonshiment and great pride, I found that this young man, was just that a full grown man; with intelligence, wit, charm and yes a great deal more wisdom then I had ever given him credit for. I always knew he was a smart yong man, I just never realized how much wisdom he had gained over the years.
So my thought for today is this.
Talk to your children, talk to young people , communicate, get their opions, try to see things from their perspective, and maybe just maybe, get a new perspective or your own, on issues that maybe you didnt even think about.
The truth is children and young people of today are our future and we in truth dont even bother to listen to what they really think and feel and have to say.
Talk to a child and be amazed at what they really have to say, be astonished at how much more wisdom they have then one would ever believe.
I for one will never again underestimate the mind of a young person again based on their age.
