THE CHAKRAS INTRODUCTION
Within every human body there is a system of channels and centers of energy which control our physical, intellectual, emotional, and spiritual being. These centers of energy are called Chakras, a Sanskrit word meaning “spinning wheel” or “vortex”. The Chakras balance, store, and distribute the energy of life throughout the body. There are seven (7) Major Chakras, each of which looks after a different aspect of our life and being. There are also powerful energy centers in the palm of each hand and the sole of each foot called Minor Chakras. (There are many other minor Chakras, but these are the main ones.)
Healthy Chakras exchange energy by spinning; opening and closing as necessary for the exchange. When Chakras are blocked, damaged, or muddied in some way our physical and emotional health can be affected. Sometimes our Chakras can be thrown out of alignment by the stress or trauma of unexpected events, either positive or negative. Anything that disturbs their normal function can have an effect. Often residual energy can “plug” a Chakra, as can the absorbed energies from others.
Most often, though, we impair our own Chakras with our lifestyles. The effects of our habits, feelings, beliefs, thoughts, fears, and desires can be found in our Chakras.
When all our Chakras are open, whirling, bright, clear, and aligned, then our Chakra System is balanced, allowing energy to flow freely – the energy essential for vitality, health, and continued growth on all levels.
I will post all seven Chakras, each Chakra to its own post.
Note:
THE LINK BETWEEN CHAKRAS AND AURAS
As has been established, Chakras have a spinning motion that allows them to take in and give out energy. The energy that the Chakras metabolize contributes to the energy field around your physical body, your Aura. For example, if you are a loving, caring person, our heart Chakra, which governs your ability to love both yourself and others, will metabolize energy in a healthy, unobstructed way. Its clarity will be seen in the Aura as a vibrant green or pink.
A weakness or block in any Chakra can also be seen in the Aura. A damaged Root Chakra may show up in the Aura as a dark, dried blood colored red, showing not only the damage to the Chakra, but also the possibility of a physical manifestation to the problem.
As you read and study about Auras and Chakras, you will easily see the connection between the two and how they interact with each other and with your body as a whole.
