Tonight, the Earth aligns herself with the sun and moon and the Earth will cast a veil over the surface of the moon. An eclipse is a time for the Druid Shaman (as with many other Shamans Celtic and otherwise) to search through the veil of shadow over the self and discover some of the mysteries which may be hidden there.
Tonight a great cosmic code is unlocked, as the sun, moon and earth align, opening a doorway into another realm of being and non-being, another existence beyond this one. It is a time to journey within the self and drawn hidden meaning from the land, and from ourselves. Tonight the great horses of land, sky, and sea travel through the aligned portal, the red one through the collective unconscious, the Calleach walks the land, and and even the great Mananann mac Lir will rise and fall by will alone.
It will be possible (for some) to witness all of the moon's phases from full to new, a 30 day cycle in 3 hours. To the Celts the number three is a great very powerful, extremely significant number, it is a number of fate and destiny...It is no accident that the first eclipse in nearly 3 years, is happening on the third day of the third month, not to mention it's three day window...
Granted, I have been a bit under the whether the last week or so, but this journey is one I don't intend to miss. Tonights journey will be one of profound inward growth, and I hope all will take the opportunity to experience it in all it's sparkling flows!
