This makes me sick. I only got like 4 minutes into it and stopped watching. www.youtube.com/watch?v=49TzCRR2DMs Witches Unaware: Strange Fire (Part II)Tag Lines: [b ]Can God be manipulated by religious ceremony? Does God listen to everyone's prayers? What kinds of prayers, or people, does God shut His ears to? Join Monica Dennington in pursuit of God's Truth, as she goes to the Bible to find the answer to the question "Is the form of Christianity practiced by many today actually witchcraft?"
This is the second in a three part series, where Monica explores what the Bible has to say about witchcraft. We will continue to look at how witchcraft has crept into the church historically, and how we can identify a spirit of witchcraft in our own lives.[/b] I stopped watching 4 minutes into it like I said...so I dont know what all it talks about..but when she started stalking about Witchcraft..she totally misrepresented it..oh and compared witches to satanist. (Which I guess to most Christians anyone who isnt Christian is automaticly a satanist) I know people are entilted to free speech..but still if someone misrepresents something..we should be able to sue them for slander. If they *Christians* can try and sue the History and National Geographic channel for the "Jesus Tomb" Special...then they should also get sued for misrepresenting other religious traditions. *Gets off my soapbox now* Sorry but that lit a fire under me and got my angry. *Thinks calming thoughts* There better now..just had to vent. Thanks. Namaste~ And Blessed Be! -Paul

This makes me sick. I only got like 4 minutes into it and stopped watching. Of course, this begs the question of why you would start watching it in the first place? You had to know you weren't going to like what they had to say? I'm not trying to be a jerk, but watching this kind of thing is like when a Democrat listens to Rush Limbaugh and works him/herself up into a frenzy. I don't listen to Rush. I know what he is going to say. So do you. The only reason you watch this crap is to get all angry and self righteous when they say something stupid. You are playing the game. Yes. Theologically speaking there is no difference between a Wiccan, Pagan, Heathen, Jew, Buddhist, Muslim, and so on etc. and a Satanist. They aren't misrepresenting anything. That is what they believe. You can try to sue. You will lose, but you can try. One of the reasons you will lose is because you cannot slander a group, you can only slander individuals. Moreover, slander dictates that you lie about people. A statement of opinion (which is what that crap is) isn't a lie. They can /try/ and they will lose. And they aren't misrepresenting other religions. They are saying what they think about other religions which is their right. If venting helped, then by all means vent whenever you feel the need. However, I must again point out that you only needed to vent because you went and watched something you knew would piss you off. I don't think you should be blaming Christian fanatics for your choice of viewing pleasure (or lack thereof). I like to watch the 700 Club myself, but it never pisses me off. I get a pretty good laugh out of it.

Hehehe. I was just talking about those in a thread the other day. I'm glad you enjoy them as much as I do! lol Finn, I may just have to watch the 700 Club now and see if it's really that amusing. I imagine if watched with the right attitude it could be highly entertaining.

Finn, I may just have to watch the 700 Club now and see if it's really that amusing. I imagine if watched with the right attitude it could be highly entertaining. I have to admit they have fallen off a bit. The used to have these wonderful fake-journalism stories wherein they would cover rock music or witchcraft (topics like that). The point was to turn you off the source of the evil. Myself, I found them very helpful in finding new bands. "Dear God," by XTC was a song (and group) I'd never heard of before the 700 Club. Without old Pat, I might never have heard them.

It's good to know that they have done some real good by introducing people to good music though. That is one song that has survived the test of time in my playlist.

I'm inclined to go with Finn on this I think. They have the right to believe what they believe, just as we have the right to disagree with it it. I think it is keeping it within the confines of the like minded that is important. When you seek it out, you're pretty much asking to be pissed off.
