Dean already said they won't do that. Amazing how Bush could stand up and tell everyone that he lied last week about Rumsfeld, because he didn't want to 'influence the elections'. Guess he isn't so 'straight-talkin' after all...

Im glad he finally packed his bags! He has been behind more deaths than those in the Iraq war. They have to pull out soon. Tony Blair has lost all support in Britain and is standing down as leader of the Labour party. Bush is losing his sources of power to the democrats ( so he will be pulling out soon. I believe bushes exact words in a press conference were "I thought we would do ok yesterday (at the elections), shows what i know!"

The scary part now is that there are reports of permanent bases being built in Iraq. If that is true, we will never leave.

If they build bases they are only creating more targets for the insurgents.

The democrats get the senate! Looks like its a divided government now so there will be changes ahead for sure!

Its good to see James Webb winning. There were some tense moments over the few days before the result was anounced.
Ive been following how things have been going in American politics as im studying it in school at the moment.

Yes, it was very interesting. Our local town council election was decided by ONE vote. We got a Dem in office for the first time in nearly twenty years! Almost all of the local elections went to the Dems, just like in the national elections.
