Ok so anyone in England will know what im talking about... its so hot, the hottest since 1976 and if it goes over 101 its the hottest in a century, right here in Bristol its 36degrees. its soo hot, my school is shut which is good but I just think its silly because everytime we have extreme weather our whole country shuts down and goes into panic mode. I was just wondering how everyone is coping with it? xxx

Couple years back it got to 112 here. I thought I was going to erupt into flames! We've got global warming to thank for the record heat. >^-.-^<

Not coping at all! Horrible for MS so I stay hidden inside, hoping my garden does burn to a crisp! Missed an MS Family Day at a nearby amusement park for the first time ever, due to my recent 'episode.' And, here in NJ, you have to put up with the inevitable two comments... 1. Hot enough for you? 2. It's not the heat, it's the humidity! Couple years back it got to 112 here. I thought I was going to erupt into flames! We've got global warming to thank for the record heat. >^-.-^< Just saw a documentary on the moon the other night, Stormcat. They showed that the moon moves away from the earth 1.5" per year. Think that also affects global warming? My daughter asked, during a commercial, if that makes our atmosphere somehow more susceptible to the gases and toxins we create. Her theory...if the moon has less 'pull' because of its distance, it can't help clear the air as well? Geesh! She keeps me on my toes! (well, wheels...).

I personally don't think the Moon has anything to do with the Global warming, that said I could be wrong. It will in time cause unstable Tides, that could be bad for the Oceans. I to remain indoors, my husband tends the yard. I've got most heat tolerant plants here in Texas. I take very good care of our trees, if they're looking limp, I try to transfer some of the earths energy to them. I haven't killed any one yet! We've got 3 more months of heat down here, yuck! >^-.-^<

The plants in the ground are hanging in there. I have lots of potted plants and they are all crying for water... right after I water them! When I try to hold them and give them some energy, I swear I can hear them thinking "what is she kidding with this? Stop touching me and give me a drink!"
In fact, after watering all the pots thoroughly, Ellie places an ice cube on each, on the dirt, to melt and cool down their little feet. We recycle all our cooking water to the plants but we've been using the grill to keep the heat of the house down. Big, big storm here last night but it was fast and furious. Not so good for the potted fellas!

Wren I sit my plants in old cat litter pans full of water overnight, rotate them. Amethest I used to have rabbits, I froze 2 liter bottles of water and put them in the cage. They laid on top of the bottles and never chewed them! The cats are in here 20 hours a day, lying on the Ceramic tile. I have 3 litter boxes to change every other day though. Hey Wolf a cold front is moving in we're dropping to the middle 90's. ;D >^-.-^<

Ugh yeah. I'm hating the heat! It's been between 105-112F here everyday for about the past month (which is like 41-45C I believe for you Celcius using people). uhh.. EWW!!
All I can say though, is at least we don't have much humidity. Lately there has been a peak of like 40%, but usually it hangs around 10 or 12%.
