OK. I am what some would call a closet believer. I am (and always have been) afraid what others think. I live in TN.. and just the word wicca,witch...ect causes a stir. Just worried what would happen if I let it know what I believe in.Worried about my son in school too. The way I see it is ITS NOONES BUSSINESS BUT MINE!!!!!! DONT get me wrong. I do fight of the rights of wiccans but I have not said its part of what I believe.

i understand you completly, i too live in TN. its hard to be different here. i have sought out people in my area like myself, so i can freely express myself. its not been easy, but it helps. with kids you can never be too careful. people will take what we stand for and use it against us and our families.

[glow=red,2,300][/glow] Your fear is understandable.. I have several family members who I will never share my spirituality with... I know what their response would be. People tend to fear and hate what they do not comprehend. And this, being the very "buckle" of the bible belt does not help. Though I sometimes think it's quite novel to posses our very own "thou shalt not" the "suffer a Witch to live" part fires my blood. If the fundies would bother to look up the original text in their fat concordance, they would find that the literal translation is, "Thou shalt not suffer a poisoner to live." And so, a mistranslation by King James's scribes led to the Burning Times. I simply hold my spirituality as something sacred to me personally and limit those of narrow minds whom I share it with. No shame there.[glow=red,2,300][/glow]
