RebirthAs in Eastern religions, Wicca also embraces the doctrine of reincarnation. Most Wiccans believe that this is just one of many lives we live, that when we die, we are reborn in another body (like the God). We do not, however, believe that we began life as anything but nor will we return as anything but human in form. The soul is ageless, sexless, nonphysical possessed of the divine spark of the Goddess and God. After death, only the body dies. The soul lives on in a realm that simply is - The Land of the Young. At the proper time, the soul is reborn (Scott Cunningham). It is generally believed that after enough cycles of rebirth, the soul will have attained perfection. At that point, it breaks away from the cycle forever and dwells with the Goddess and God as an ancient ones. It is because of these beliefs that many Wiccans do not fear death, but instead view it as a door to a new life. Reincarnation isn't something that should just be blindly believed. It is a philosophy you must accept on your own terms through meditation, contemplation and self analysis. www.bewitchingways.com/wicca/rebirth.htm
