now u can all here about my gorgeous birdy Jakari
hes an Alexandrene parrot, is bright green with a black ring around his neck. when he gets a bit older (hes only a baby, 1yr 4months) he will get a peechy coloured collar round the back of his neck. he has a huge long tail, and its green and yellow and such a pretty blue, its about 25 cm long at the moment. his two flight feathers are black, while the rest of his wings are green like the rest of him, exept for the dark red patches on them...and he has a massive blood red beak that HURTS!!! ive had him since he was 3 months old, and he will live for about 70yrs...hes my gorgeous baby, and he talks and chatters nonsense, and sings when theres music or loud noises..he doesnt really, but he squawks and whistles a hell of a lot, so it seems like hes singing...thats my birdy, and hes my favourite boy..
great, now i sound like a little 4 yr old on Harrys Practise telling everyone about their pets....tho jak isnt a pet, he has way too much authority to be a mere pet bird!!! lol i love him

I know my dad had an old hunting dog that died when I was a teenager.  It's also funny as you said, how we seem to "belong to them".  |

Oh, yes, Sorjn and I are cat owned! See, we work - they eat. We work - they sleep. We work - they play. Who's the smart ones here? ?
And oighrig, your parrot sounds beautiful! In a year or two we might see you on Animal Planet doing Smartest Pet!

it seems that all the photos i had of ma boy have been deleted-probly dad creating more space and trying to make the computer faster...its not working, but oh well...i have one from christmas, but he had just lost his gorgeous long tail feather and looks rather naked....and is not in his prettiest state, hes molting, u see...i will post it, but i'll take another of him shortly and put that one on!!

 his feathers are much much smoother and brighter, the black ring around his neck is more prominant, the red on his wings is much larger, his wings arent cut, and his tail is sooooooooooooooo much longer...but u get the general idea!! |

We've talked about getting one on several occasions...until the image of Tribbles swinging by his front claws from the bottom of the cage puts an end to it. (please see Our Cats)

(please see Our Cats) lol, yes i can see how that mite cause some problems....but they are gorgeous cats, i had a look before!! we used to have the funniest little cat, be brought a snake inside once, and then was terified of walking on the floor of the lounge, he would jump from chair to chair to chair and then from the chair out the window...that was the "catflap"...he was the funniest little guy |
