what am i doing these days? i'm trying to get into a studio. almost am there. bad english! I have been offered a f/t position with a studio, but not sure if they are making me manager or if I am going to be a peon. either way, I get to do what I love. yeah. paid off some of my back rent and bills and got new tires with the tax refund this year. almost ontop of things. and c. is still working at the same job. he's grumbling but he's there. both of us working at the same time...novel concept.
just a quick note so that y'all didn't think that i've died. i just really don't get much time to do anything with the computer! Kids have discovered webkinz.

Hello all. Just a quick update on my life...as it is. I'm focusing on work right now, trying to get that perfect job. I've been working with the studio division of Lifetouch, but I'm not sure that this is the right ...District Manager... for me. She's not paying me what I am entitled to, I was hired at a new hire Photograper's pay and I have ten years of studio photography under my belt and 5 months prior work with the company. Fine, don't give the management job I interviewed to me...make me run the studio anyway at the intro pay and expect me to make super high numbers during a recession. She hasn't even had anyone look at my photography to see if I am worth more. And I know that I am. Between the gas I have to pay out to get to work and the money I have to pay the day care provider, I am not making the money needed to pay our bills. I've told her I need more money, at least $1.00 more/hour, which is what the other companies would do due to my experience. She has 1 more week before I have to give notice. I cannot do this job, I'll let c. take a 2nd job and be his chauffer for the summer and then go back to the school Photography. They at least give me the rate I'm asking the studios for AND they pay drivetime (min wage, but that still $$$!) AND $.27/mile. I took a SIGNIFICANT pay cut to do this job, and I knew I would, but this isn't right. Other than that, I really don't have much time to do anything else. I focus on the job, my relationship w c. and the kids and keeping the house passable. Morgyn decided to go ahead and do that whole Catholic thing , she's been baptised, had her first Reconciliation and is prepping for the First Communion. Kind of knew that it was going to happen, and Mom is thrilled. I just am glad that she was old enough to make her own choice, and her priest understands that her parents are practicing pagan/Roman Wiccans and that she will be exposed to that part of life as well. I explained that I left the church in the first place because of the lack of the Female in all that Catholics do and believe and that the Goddess will be preached in our house. He is fine with it AND actually commended me for standing up for my beliefs and convictions. So at least I have someone who won't be belittleing her family because we don't believe as they do. Well, my time here is almost gone....countdown 11 minutes..so I must go and be mommy again. Thanks for all who have sent their energies to me in the past, things seem to be looking up for me. Keep up the good work. J
